Inventory Studio licences and your privacy

To activate a licence and check it now and then, Inventory Studio's connector sends this server:

• a code made from your computer's hardware identifiers by a one-way hash, so the server can tell computers apart without learning those identifiers;
• your computer's name and a short description of it (its model, or its version of Windows), so you and the developer can see which computer uses the licence;
• the version of Inventory Studio;
• the licence code, when you activate.

The server keeps those with your licence, and your internet address for at most 30 days, to stop codes being guessed. Nothing else is sent: not your Second Life name, password or inventory, nor anything you do in Inventory Studio.

The connector checks its licence about once a day and before it signs an avatar in, and works for up to 7 days without reaching this server.

To have your details removed, contact the developer.
