Halcyon licences and your privacy

To start a free trial, activate a licence and check it now and then, Halcyon sends this server:

• a code made from your computer's hardware identifiers by a one-way hash, so the server can tell your computers apart without learning those identifiers;
• your computer's name and its model (or its version of Windows), so you and the developer can see which computers use a licence;
• the version of Halcyon, and whether it runs in a virtual machine;
• the licence code, when you activate.

The server keeps those with your licence or trial, and your internet address for at most 30 days, to stop codes being guessed. Nothing else is sent: not your photos, your projects or anything you do in Halcyon.

Halcyon checks its licence about once a day when it is online, and works for up to 30 days without a connection.

To have your details removed, contact the developer.
